Pajaro Valley Federation of Teachers (PVFT) Local #1936. This scholarship is awarded by the Pajaro Valley Federation of Teachers union to a RHS grad attending an accredited post secondary school in the Fall  (award recipient will need to show proof of enrollment or registration. Children of union members have first right to scholarships. Superior academic achievement. Evidence of community activity. If parent is a union member, identify the name of the union (eg. CSEA, PVFT, etc.)  in your letter. Apply through RHS Scholarship Committee Letter. Email a copy of your letter to your advisor. One $400.00 scholarship will be awarded. 

 

Watsonville Woman's Club Scholarship Committee. The Watsonville Woman’s Club is the oldest continuously existing organization open to all women. Founded in 1899, our members have been and are “young at heart and in spirit.” Our original goal was to make our community a better place to live, and that purpose is as vital today as it was over a century ago. All Grads attending a post-secondary program are welcome to apply. Apply using the Watsonville Woman's Club Scholarship Committee Application Form (available in AP's office)

Bob and Betsy Darrow Scholarship. Bob and Betsy Darrow believed in the importance of a college education. The scholarship fund was created by their children to honor the long-time commitment of their parents to education. Attend an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational school for the duration of the scholarship. $1,000.

Armando Santos Quintana Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship goes to a special education student (with IEP) who is planning to attend a post-secondary institution.  Additionally, the student must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and fill out a short application an essay. 

 

 

$500 scholarships are awarded to ethnic minority high school students entering Cabrillo College with a minimum 2.0 GPA. In addition, all students are encouraged to complete the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov

 

$500 scholarships are awarded to Santa Cruz County high school seniors. If selected, students will also be required to attend the Cabrillo College Student Success Orientation (date to be determined). In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must submit the Cabrillo College Scholarship for High School Seniors Application, as well as an unofficial high school transcript. You may need to check in with your school office or your high school counselor in order to obtain your unofficial transcripts. Unofficial Transcripts can be submitted to the Financial Aid Office in person, or your can mail it to: Cabrillo College Financial Aid & Scholarships Office 6500 Soquel Drive Aptos, CA 95003

 

Students will be notified in May if they were selected for a scholarship(s) and will be provided the criteria in order to have funds disbursed. *A thank you letter to the donor is required prior to disbursement. *Upon verification of full-time enrollment (12 units) in the Fall term at Cabrillo College, funds will be disbursed onto a student's Higher One card. Higher One cards are the method of disbursement for all sources of aid at Cabrillo. *Cabrillo College Student Success Orientation will be required for students receiving the Cabrillo College Santa Cruz County College Commitment (S4C) Scholarship. Recipients will receive details at a later date.
